Bengals Host NAU on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym

This week are the final home games for the men's basketball team.

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team plays its final two home games of the 2013-14 season on Thursday, February 27 at 7 p.m. vs. Northern Arizona and Saturday, March 1 vs. Sacramento State. Both games begin at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym. Fans  can follow the games with live video, audio and stats by logging onto isubengals.com. The game can also be followed by  listening to Jerry Miller and Brad Bugger call the game on 930 CBS Sports Radio and Rock 102.5.

Idaho State leads the season series, 50-43, but NAU has won the last three meetings. Seven of the last eight meetings have been decided by single digits with four of those meetings being decided by two points or less. The last time ISU beat NAU was a 79-73 win on Feb. 11, 2012 in Flagstaff.

Northern Arizona is 11-16 overall and 8-8 in league. Quinton Upshur leads NAU in scoring at 15.5 points a game. The Lumberjacks are scoring 67.3 points a game and giving up 70.2. NAU is shooting .452 percent from the field and .480 percent in conference play.

Senior Day
Saturday is the final home game for three Bengal seniors in Andre Hatchett, Tomas Sanchez and Ayibakuro Preh. They will be honored before the start of the game vs. Sacramento State.

Scoring 70 Points
When the Bengals score 70 points or more this season the team is 9-3 compared to 2-12 when scoring 69 points or less. Last year ISU was 4-2 when scoring 70 points or more.

Hansen Putting up the Points
Since arriving at Idaho State, Chris Hansen has proven to be an instant scorer for the Bengals. He has scored 761 points in just under two seasons. His streak of scoring double figures in 18 straight games came to an end at Montana State. This season he has scored in double figures in 22 of 25 games and has 20 points or more in eight games and three last year. For his career he has scored in double figures in 38 of 55 games.

- ISU's 8-3 home record is the best since the 2008-09 team went 11-4 at home.
- Tomas Sanchez has scored in double-figures in 13 straight games.
- Andre Hatchett needs 119 points to become the program's 20th player to score 1,000 points in their career.
-This year is the first season Idaho State has won 10 games since 2008-09. That year the Bengals finished 13-19
- The 34.4 rebounds per game for the Bengals is the best mark since the 2005-06 team averaged 37.8 rebounds.
- In seven of the 10 ISU wins, the team has shot .463 or better from the field.
