VANCOUVER, Wash. – Idaho State men's tennis finished the season with a 5-2 victory over Portland State on Saturday at the Club Green Meadows in Vancouver, Wash.
The Bengals were swept 2-0 in the doubles point but won the No. 1 through No. 5 singles matches to earn the win.
At No. 1 singles
Jamey Swiggart defeated Brent Wheeler 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 and at No. 2
Krzysztof Stempien defeated Wil Chochrane 6-2, 6-3.
Daniel Loebel defeated Ian Risenhoover 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 at No. 3 and
Josh Goodwin defeated Abhinav Mishra 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4.
Bjorn Scheepbouwer defeated Alec Marx 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 to round out the Bengal wins.
At No. 6 Johnathan Pike defeated
Cody Miller 6-4, 6-4 to earn the lone PSU singles win.
Idaho State finishes the season 5-12 and 3-7 in Big Sky play.
