LAST MATCH: ISU TOPS MINOT STATE 4-2
Maria Sanchez scored two goals and added an assist in her first-ever regular-season college match and
Amanda Ellsworth added two more to lead Idaho State to a 4-2 victory over Minot State (N.D.) at soggy Davis Field last Friday afternoon.
 Ellsworth got on the board in the sixth minute when a cross from
Katherine Roberts was deflect by Sanchez to Ellsworth who standing just in front of the goal where she tapped it past the keeper for her first goal of the season in just the sixth minute of the match.
 The goal was her 24th career goal and advanced her past Stacey Peterson-Allen for sole possession of the Idaho State points record. She finished the game with 59.
Sanchez tallied her first goal in the 28th minute when she gathered a pass 20 yards away from the goal, made her defender miss and sent a shot past the MSU goalkeeper.
 Minot State managed three shots in the first half with one on goal. ISU goalkeeper
Sheridan Hapsic was perfect through the first 45 minutes of the match. At the break she was replaced with
Maria Dela Cruz.
 Sanchez again found paydirt in the second frame. In the 49th minute she scored a header on a rebound from a near-miss by Roberts.
 Not to be outdone Ellsworth scored a second goal of her own in the 58th minute when Roberts headed an errant Minot pass back to Ellsworth who beat three defenders and the goalkeeper on a drive into the box for the score.
ABOUT WYOMING
The Cowgirls are 1-1 and coming off a 1-0 win against Montana in the most recent game. Senior Kasey Curtis scored her first goal of the season.
Curtis and Shelby Shorb lead UW with a goal each. Alex Boehm starts in goal for the Cowgirls and has allowed three goals in two games.
Pete Cuadrado enters his third season as the Wyoming Cowgirl head soccer coach. He has compiled a 16-20-6 overall record.

BIG SKY PRESEASON POLL: BENGALS PICKED SIXTH
ISU was picked to finish sixth in the Preseason Big Sky Coaches Poll released by the conference.

The Bengals finished fifth in the 2013 Big Sky rankings, one spot outside the Big Sky Tournament. This season the tournament includes the top six teams in the conference.

Portland State edged out Weber State as the top pick in the conference. Both teams received five first place votes but PSU had 93 total points to Weber's 92 in the poll.

Northern Arizona received a lone first-place vote and is picked to finish third in the poll. Northern Colorado was picked to finish fourth and Montana was picked fifth.

Sacramento State was picked seventh, Southern Utah eighth, Big Sky newcomer Idaho was picked ninth, Eastern Washington was picked 10th and North Dakota 11th.
