OGDEN, Utah – The Idaho State women's tennis team picked up their first individual victories of the season in their match Wednesday against Weber State.
Marian Tangarife and
Madelyn Weltzin each recorded singles victories. Weltzin also won her doubles match paired with
Kasey Bacon.
Tangarife defeated Weber's Kristi Elmer 6-4, 6-4, (10-6) in the number two singles while Weltzin earned a straight sets victory (7-5, 7-5) over Emily Tanner in the number five singles.
Weltzin and Bacon captured their doubles match 8-2 over Rindlsbacher and Tanner of the Wildcats.
Weber State won the overall team score 5-2.
The Bengals return to Pocatello on Friday for their first home match of the season against Montana State. Matches are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m inside Reed Gym.
