Stempien Records First Win as Bengals Fall to Bobcats

BOZEMAN, Montana - Krzysztof Stempien recorded his first victory of the season as the Bengals (0-2) dropped their opening Big Sky Conference match 6-1 to Montana State.

The Poland native defeated MSU's Niklas Brandes in straight sets (6-2 and 7-5) to pick up ISU's only point.

Both Daniel Loebel and Orin Duffin forced a third set in their match before eventually falling to their opponent.

The Bengals return to the court Saturday morning at 10 a.m. when they travel to Missoula to take on the University of Montana.
