Bengals Battle With Big Sky's Best

CHUBBUCK, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis battled right to the wire with the top team in the Big Sky Conference before falling 4-3 to Weber State Thursday afternoon at the Osborn Tennis Complex in Chubbuck.

The two teams split the singles matches with ISU's Daniel Loebel, Krzysztof Stempien and Bjorn Scheepbouwer each posting straight-set victories. The overall team score tipped in favor of the visitors based on their two wins in doubles.

Stempien improved to 11-5 on the season while Scheepbouwer leveled his record at 8-8.

The Bengals close out the season Saturday at 10 a.m. with a match against Northern Colorado. It is scheduled to be played at the Osborn Tennis Complex weather permitting.
