After being out-rebounded 34-31 at Santa Clara on Nov. 11, ISU dominated the boards at No. 25 Oregon State, out-rebounding the Beavers 42-35. ISU also limited OSU's leading scorer Katie McWilliams to just four points on 2-of-8 shooting.
As a squad, Idaho State is averaging 58.0 points per game and 36.5 rebounds per game while shooting 35.6 percent from the floor. The Bengals have controlled play in the first half, outscoring their opponents 65-60 in the first two quarters, yet they have fallen flat in the final quarter as they have been outscored a combined 50-22 in the fourth quarter in the first two games.
Freshman
Estefania Ors has stepped up for the Bengals in the first two contests. She poured in a game-high 23 points at Santa Clara and added a team-high 11 at Oregon State. So far this season, she's shooting 65 percent from the field and 40 percent from the three.
SCOUTING UC IRVINE
The Anteaters are 0-3 to start the season with losses against St. Louis, Gonzaga and Utah State. So far this season, UC Irvine is averaging 53.0 points per game while shooting 32.4 percent from the field. As a squad, UCI averages 32.7 rebounds per game.
Four players average at least eight points per game, led by Shereen Sutherland at 10.7 points per game. Sutherland also leads the squad on the boards as she averages 8.3 boards per contest.
UC Irvine returns eight letter winners and three starters from last season's squad that finished 4-27 overall with a 1-15 mark in the Big West, which tied for eighth.
The Anteaters are led by Head Coach Tamara Inoue who is in her first season at the helm of the program.
