Taylor Cole defeated Kirsty Venter in three sets, 4-6, 6-4 and 13-11.
"Taylor played really smart today," Head Coach
Gretchen Maloney said. "She played with lots of spin and kept the ball deep. It was a tough battle for the win."
The Bengals started the day with three-straight defeats in doubles play, giving Boise State the critical doubles point and an early lead. Singles play for the Bengals all ended in two sets with exception to Cole's three-set match win.
"The girls fought hard and played some really good tennis today," Maloney said. "Playing the tougher teams is making us better."
Idaho State is back in action Feb. 12 as it faces Iowa State at Utah State in Logan, Utah at 11 a.m.
