Women's Tennis Falls at Northern Colorado

GREELEY, Colo. – The Idaho State women's tennis team fell to Northern Colorado 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Workout West complex in Greeley, Colo. The Bengals were swept in doubles play and were unable to make up for the lost doubles point in singles play.

Idaho State (7-12, 3-6 BSC) earned wins at both the Nos. 3 and 4 singles positions as senior Wiebke Boeckmann bested Northern Colorado's (8-11, 4-6 BSC)Hilary Walters-West 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 and freshman Nonie Alexandersen defeated UNC's Marissa Baca 1-6, 6-3, 6-1. Those were the only two singles matches to advance to three sets.

Idaho State continues play tomorrow, April 17 at 4 p.m. MST at North Dakota. ISU's original match, scheduled for 9 a.m. MST, was rescheduled due to ISU's delayed travel times as a result of the weather.
