POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's tennis team has signed another new addition for the 2016-17 season as announced by Head Coach
Gretchen Maloney. The Bengals welcome Angela Walker out of North Vancouver, British Columbia as the newest member of the Orange and Black.
Walker, a three-sport standout athlete out of Carson Graham High School, was a four-year varsity tennis member and two-year team MVP. She currently ranks 11th in women's open singles and fourth in women's open doubles in British Columbia. She's won the High School Provincial Tournament three years running, and is set to defend her title this spring.
During Walker's time at Carson Graham High School, tennis team placed earned top-five finishes at the Team Tennis Provincials three-straight years, including two-straight top-two finishes in 2014 and 2015. For her performances in volleyball, basketball and tennis, Walker has been named Carson Graham High School's Athlete of the Year four years running.
Walker will begin her freshman season with Idaho State this fall.
