Women's Tennis Falls to Air Force

CHUBBUCK, Idaho – The Idaho State women's tennis team fell 7-0 to visiting Air Force Saturday morning at the Osborn Tennis Complex at Capell Park. The Bengals forced five-of-six singles matches to three sets but were unable to close out each of the matches in the final set.

"We were able to split sets in five-of-six singles matches today," Head Coach Gretchen Maloney said. "We need to stay positive going forward with the rest of our conference matches."

In doubles play, Idaho State (4-10) dropped two quick matches to Air Force (14-9), giving Air Force the doubles point and ending the final doubles match, which ISU was leading 4-2, early.
In singles play, the Bengals earned a first-set win in three-of-six matches, but the Falcons came on strong to sweep Idaho State, earning the win at each singles position.

Idaho State is back in action April 12 at 2 p.m. at Weber State.
