Bengals Prep for Big Sky Road Games This Week

POCATELLO, Idaho –
The Idaho State women's basketball team continues Big Sky play on the road this week, starting with Northern Arizona on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Flagstaff, Ariz.

SCOUTING NORTHERN ARIZONA

Northern Arizona sits at 6-14 overall on the season with a 2-7 mark in conference play. The Lumberjacks are averaging 69.4 points and 39.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 39.3 percent from the floor.

Three players average in double figures for NAU led by junior Olivia Lucero at 13.9 points per game, good for 13th in the conference. Senior Rene Coggins averages 11.7 while senior Brittani Lusain averages 10.1. Four players average four or more boards per game led by Lusain at 7.9 per game which ranks third in the conference.

Northern Arizona is led by interim Head Coach Robyne Bostick who is in her first season as interim head coach and fifth season overall with the Lumberjacks.

SERIES REVIEW

Idaho State leads the series 37-28 and has won eight of the last 10 games including three of the last five. The Bengals split the series with the Lumberjacks last season, losing a close 63-62 game in Flagstaff but defeating NAU 71-61 in Pocatello.

BENGAL BITES
  • Through 19 games this season, the Bengals are 10-9 with a 4-4 mark in BSC play. ISU averages 59.0 points and 41.8 rebounds per game which ranks third in the conference. As a squad, ISU limits its opponents to 61.4 points per contest to lead the Big Sky.
  • Grace Kenyon and Saylair Grandon lead the Bengals in scoring at 11.2 and 10.9 points per game, respectively. Kenyon also leads ISU in rebounding at 7.1 per game, good for sixth in the conference.
