POCATELLO, Idaho- All American accolades continue to come in for
Mario Jenkins and
Skyler Phillips. Phillips and Jenkins were one of 11 Big Sky Conference players named to the STATS FCS All-America team. Jenkins also earned All-American honors by College Sports Madness and
Adkin Aguirre earned Sophomore All-American honorable mention honors by Hero Sports.
Phillips was named a first-team All-American by STATS and Jenkins earned third-team honors. Phillips has already garnered third-team All-American honors by the Associated Press. College Sports Madness also named Jenkins to its third-team All-American squad.
This is Jenkins first All-American honor as he also earned first-team all-conference in 2017. Jenkins was one of the top tacklers in the Big Sky Conference and nation all year. He finished the year with 111 tackles and had a career-high 18 in a win over Cal Poly. He had 17 tackles in a win at Nevada, 13 vs. Montana and UC Davis and 10 vs. Sacramento State and Weber State. Jenkins is a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award.
 Aguirre was second on the team in tackles with 80 and he finished with a team-best five interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
