PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Idaho State women's tennis team defeated Arizona Christian 7-0 Wednesday afternoon in Phoenix Arizona.

Idaho State (5-8) opened play with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles play at Andrea Osborn and Kristen Newell bested Melanie Dreux and Jayci Kelley. Melissa Coburn and Madison Fenske followed it up with a 6-4 win at the No. 2 doubles position to seal the doubles point.

The Bengals routed ACU in singles play, winning five-of-six matches in two sets. Megan Poe battled Tia Okano for three sets, coming from behind to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Idaho State is back in action March 23 at Grand Canyon. The match time is yet to be determined.
