SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Idaho State men's tennis team fell at Sacramento State Sunday afternoon at the Sparetime Indoor Tennis Complex in Gold River, Calif.
Idaho State (5-5, 1-2 BSC) battled for the doubles point. After dropping a 6-2 decision at the No. 1 doubles position,
Quentin Wacquez and
Francis Filipovich bested Dom Miller and Donald Hall 6-4 at the No. 3 doubles position. Sac State (6-6, 4-2 BSC) took the doubles point with a 6-2 decision at the No. 2 singles position.
In singles play, Filipovich claimed ISU's lone victory with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Sac State's Christopher Clayton at the No. 4 singles position. Both
Sebastian Edin and
Bjorn Scheepbouwer forced three sets in their respective matches.
Idaho State continues play at home against Eastern Washington March 18 at 10 a.m. at the tennis courts at Reed Gym.
