Bengals Hosts Pacific Thursday

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team plays its home opener on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym vs. Pacific of the West Coast Conference. Scouting Pacific
Pacific is 1-1 with a win at SIUE, 74-65 and a 83-61 loss at Nevada. Pacific hosted Stanislaus State on Nov. 13 before playing ISU on the 15th. Pacific is averaging 67.5 points a game and shooting 45 percent from the field through the first two games. The Tigers shoot 30.2 percent from the three-point line, 66.7 percent from the free throw line and average 39 rebounds a game. Pacific averages 15 assists, 15.5 turnovers, five steals and one block a game.  Lafayette Dorsey and Anthony Townes each average 14 points a game to lead the scoring.

Recapping Boise State
- Chier Maker and Jared Stutzman each had 16 points to lead the Bengal offense. Both were 4-8 from the three-point line and Maker had six rebounds.
- Brandon Boyd had 14 points and Balint Mocsan had 12.
- Idaho State trailed 50-32 with 16:45 left in the game. The Bengal then out scored the Broncos 40-20 the rest of the way.
- Chier Maker scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half.
- With the win Idaho State snapped a six-game losing streak to the Broncos. Prior to Nov. 10, ISU's last win over Boise State was 88-79 on Dec. 1, 2005 in Pocatello. The last win in Boise for ISU was Dec. 28, 2004. ISU won 64-59.
- The 72-70 final score was the first lead of the game for the Bengals since 2-0.
- The starting lineup of Chier Maker, Kelvin Jones, Brandon Boyd, Balint Mocsan and Jared Stutzman has been used for the first two games of the season.
