SEATTLE, Wash. – The Idaho State lost a battle to Seattle Sunday afternoon, falling to the Redhawks 4-3 at the Tennis Center at Sand Point in Seattle, Wash.
"We lost today in a tight contest, and I know we will see ourselves fighting in more close matches," Head Coach
Mark Rodel said. "In order to turn the result, we need to make some fundamental changes in our mindset and approach."

Peter Trhac and
David Felix defeated Seattle's Trenton Nield and Colton Weeldreyer 6-4 to open doubles play, while
Adam Hornby and
William Edin secured the doubles point with a 6-4 win over the Redhawks at No. 2 doubles.
Seattle (3-3) secured the 4-3 win in singles play, as the Redhawks picked up four singles wins to ISU's four. Trhac and Felix each secured victories at the Nos. 1 and 2 positions, respectively. Trhac battled Seattle's Trenton Nield for the 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 win, while Felix bested Arshak Ghazaryan in two sets, 7-5, 7-6. Seattle claimed victories at the No.3-No.6 positions to earn the 4-3 win.
"Peter and David led the way for our team by earning wins at the No. 1 doubles and No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively," Rodel said. "We need to get back and work on closing out tight matches and committing to the small details."
Idaho State returns home for its next match on Feb. 24; the Bengals face Montana State at 10 a.m. at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts in Big Sky Conference play.
