SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Idaho State women's tennis team fell 4-3 at UC San Diego Sunday afternoon at the Northview Tennis Courts in San Diego, Calif.
UC San Diego (1-3) picked up the doubles point after winning two-of-three doubles matches.
Huibre-Mare Botes and
Louise-Mare Botes picked up the lone doubles win with an 8-4 win over Ashley Chao and Becky Chou at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play, Idaho State picked up three singles wins at the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 singles positions.
Louise-Mare Botes gave ISU its first singles win with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Alexandra Weil while
Huibre-Mare Botes picked up ISU's second singles win with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles.
Angela Walker picked up ISU's third singles win of the day with a 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 10-7 win over Madison Hale.
Idaho State continues play Feb. 16 against Boise State at 11 a.m. at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts.
