Box Score CHENEY, Wash. – The Idaho State women's tennis team dropped its first conference match Monday evening with a 4-3 loss at Eastern Washington.

Idaho State (5-8, 3-1 BSC) were swept in doubles play for the second-straight match as Eastern Washington (6-6, 3-1 BSC) won 6-1 at No. 1 doubles and 6-3 at No. 3 doubles to take the doubles point early.

In singles play, Idaho State split with the Eagles with three matches won each. The Bengals picked up wins at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles. Huibre-Mare Botes bested Rylee Braeden 6-3, 7-5 at No. 3 singles while Melissa Coburn picked up a 6-1, 6-4 win over Faye Worrall at No. 4 singles. Angela Walker posted the Bengals' last singles win with a three-set battle over Jennifer Lewis, winning 6-1, 4-6, 10-4 at No. 6 singles.

Idaho State continues play Tuesday, March 20 against Idaho in Lewiston, Idaho. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. MST.
