GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Idaho State men's tennis team snapped a five-match losing streak with a 6-1 win over North Dakota at the Choice Health & Fitness courts in Grand Forks, N.D.

Idaho State (4-7, 2-3 BSC) opened play with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles as
Adam Hornby and
William Edin defeated UND's Annei Laska and Ben Yeacker. North Dakota (1-12, 1-8 BSC) responded with a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles. The Bengals secured the doubles point following
Peter Trhac and
David Felix's 6-4 win over Daniel Martinez and Lukas Buth at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play, the Bengals battled to pick up five wins including two wins in three-set matches. ISU picked up four-straight wins at the Nos. 3, 6, 2 and 1 positions and closed singles play with a win at No. 5 singles. Hornby battled UND's Alex Mailes for the three-set win, 7-6 (7-4), 5-7, 10-8, to secure ISU's 6-1 victory.
The Bengals continue play Saturday, March 24 at Northern Colorado. The match is set to begin at 10 a.m. in Greeley, Colo.
