Box Score GREELEY, Colo. – The Idaho State men's tennis team won its second straight match with a convincing 6-1 win over Northern Colorado in Greeley Saturday afternoon. The Bengals swept doubles play and dropped just one singles match in the win.
In doubles, No. 64 duo
Peter Trhac and
David Felix kicked things off with a 6-4 win over UNC's Cassell King and Kyle Pease while
Keegan Sullivan and
Francis Filipovich clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Idaho State (5-7, 3-3 BSC) won five of six matches starting with a win at No. 2 singles as Trhac defeated UNC's Mikey Kritzinger 6-3, 6-1. Northern Colorado (9-10, 1-7 BSC) claimed the next singles win as Felix fell 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, but the Bengals claimed each of the final four singles matches to earn the commanding 6-1 match win.
Idaho State continues play Sunday, March 25 at Metro State in Denver, Colo. The match is set to begin at 10 a.m.
