Box Score DENVER, Colo. -- The Idaho State men's tennis team extended its win streak to three matches with a 4-3 win at Metro State on Sunday afternoon. It marked the first time this season the Bengals have competed outdoors.
The Bengals clinched the doubles point early, winning at both the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles positions. Idaho State (6-7) kicked things off with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles as
Keegan Sullivan and
Francis Filipovich teamed up to defeat Metro's Calum Hayes and Kacey Walisundara 6-1. No. 64
Peter Trhac and
David Felix clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Josh Graetz and Joey Tscherne at No. 1 doubles.Â
The Bengals split singles matches with Metro State (9-8) as each program claimed three singles wins. Felix, Sullivan and
Austin Gwilliam each recorded singles wins for the Bengals at the No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively.
Idaho State returns home to host Northern Arizona March 31 at 10 a.m.
