POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team fell to visiting Northern Arizona 6-1 Saturday morning at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts in Pocatello, Idaho.
Idaho State (6-8, 3-4 BSC) claimed the doubles point early as No. 64
Peter Trhac and
David Felix bested NAU's Thomas Fisher and Sebastian Eguez 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. ISU's
Austin Gwilliam and
Francis Filipovich clinched the doubles point at No. 3 doubles with a 6-4 win over the 'Jacks' Felix Schumann and Ruben Montano.
The momentum shifted in singles play, as Northern Arizona (7-9, 5-1 BSC) swept the Bengals at each singles position. Idaho State forced three-sets at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 positions, but the 'Jacks prevailed at each.
Idaho State is back in action Sunday, April 1 against Montana at 10 a.m. at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts.
