POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team fell to visiting Montana 7-0 Sunday morning at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts.
"The guys came out this weekend and competed well, despite the overall results," Head Coach
Mark Rodel said. "We pushed two of the top teams in the conference to their limit. We will continue to work on executing our game plans with more commitment and focus for the remainder of the season."
In doubles play, Montana (6-4, 3-1 BSC) picked up the doubles point early with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles position. The Griz continued to pressure the Bengals, sweeping singles play as well. Idaho State (6-9, 3-5 BSC) forced three sets at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, but
Peter Trhac fell 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 to Yannick Schmidl at No. 1 while
David Felix fell 7-5, 6-7, 10-5 to UM's Victor Casadevall.
Idaho State continues play Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts. The match will serve as ISU's Senior Day match; the Bengals will honor seniors
