POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team fell to visiting Sacramento State 5-2 Friday afternoon at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts. The match marked ISU's final home match, and the Bengals honored seniors

"I am proud of how our team competes and represents ISU," Head Coach
Mark Rodel said. "It was especially difficult to say goodbye to my three seniors."
Sacramento State (6-11, 5-3 BSC) took the doubles point early, winning 6-4 at No. 2 doubles followed by a 7-6(8-6) battle at No. 1 doubles. In singles play, the Bengals were able to win at both No. 2 and No. 6 singles. At No. 2 singles,
David Felix defeated Sac State's Kasparas Zemaitelis 6-2, 7-6(7-2) to open singles play; the Hornets took the next three matches at No. 4, No. 1 and No. 3, but
Francis Filipovich took the win at No. 6 singles, defeating Donald Hall 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles. Sac State won the final match at No. 5 to take the 5-2 victory.
"We have competed well all year, and we need to find a way to take positives from each loss," Rodel said. "We need to find a way to get better each time out."
Idaho State continues play at Boise State Sunday, April 8 at 5 p.m.
