POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team lost 5-0 to Portland State on Saturday afternoon. The Bengals had only three hits and committed one error.
Emma Bordenkecher had two hits and
Genesis Zamora had one.
Mariah Mulcahy pitched two innings and allowed one hit and three strikeouts.
Ashlyn Ames took the loss. She pitched the final four innings, allowing six hits, five runs (one earned), two walks and one strikeout.
Portland State scored one run in the second inning and four in the fourth. The Vikings had seven hits.
Idaho State returns to Miller Ranch Stadium on Tuesday, April 3 for a doubleheader vs. Boise State that begins at 2 p.m.
