POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to visiting Northern Arizona Saturday afternoon at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts.

League-leading Northern Arizona (15-3, 9-0 BSC) battled Idaho State (7-10, 4-3 BSC) for the doubles point. The Lumberjacks took the first match 6-2 as
Hristina Cvetkovic and
Megan Poe fell to NAU's Hanneke Lodewijks and Ellie Millard, but
Louise-Mare Botes and
Huibre-Mare Botes evened the score with a 6-1 win over NAU's CoraLynn Von Dungem and Eirene Granvile at No. 2 doubles. The 'Jacks took the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Northern Arizona won the first three matches at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 2 singles, but ISU's
Louise-Mare Botes defeated NAU's Von Dungem 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3 singles to give ISU its lone point on the day. NAU's took wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles to seal the 6-1 win.
Idaho State continues play Sunday, April 8 against Montana State at 12 p.m. at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts.
