POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State volleyball team fell 3-2 to Sacramento State on Oct. 10 in Reed Gym.
Sacramento State jumped ahead after a 25-18 first set. The second set was a back and forth battle ending with a 25-23 Bengal victory. Idaho State recorded 15 kills in the second set.Â
The Bengals carried the momentum into the third set winning 25-17. A tough fourth set went in favor of the Hornets, 25-21, taking the match into a fifth set where Sac State won with a score of 15-11.
ISU recorded 53 kills and 96 digs with three Bengals with 20 or more digs: sophomore Duquense Moratzka with 24, senior
Haylie Keck with 20, and sophomore Mahala Braburn with 20.
After her 20 digs in the match, Keck is 320 digs away from becoming the All-Time dig leader in the Big Sky Conference.
Idaho State hosts Portland State this Saturday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. (MST) following the Homecoming football game. Stick around after the match for a free poster and autographs from the Idaho State volleyball team.
