POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State soccer team concludes conference play on the road this week against Southern Utah (Oct. 25) at 4 p.m. (MST) in Cedar City, Utah and Northern Arizona (Oct. 27) at 1 p.m. (MST) in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The Bengals, who are currently tied for eighth in the Big Sky, are battling for a spot in the conference tournament where the top six teams will compete, Nov. 6-10, in Greeley, Colo.
Montana (1), Eastern Washington (2), Northern Colorado (3), and Sacramento State (4) have all clinched a spot in the tournament.
Southern Utah
Southern Utah has compiled a 0-14-1 overall record and is 0-4-1 in conference play with recent losses against Eastern Washington (3-0) and the University of Idaho (2-1, OT). The Thunderbirds average .47 goals per match with a .377 shot on goal percentage.
Since 2001, Idaho State holds a 13-4 record against SUU with a 6-3 away record. Their last match-up in 2018 was in favor of ISU, 1-0, in Pocatello. Prior to that, SUU won the last three matches against ISU (2017: 2-1, 2016: 3-0, and 2015: 4-2). From 2006-2014, the Bengals held a eight-match win streak over SUU.
In the 2018 season, The Thunderbirds finished with a 2-15-1 overall record and went 1-7-1 in conference play.
Northern Arizona
Northern Arizona has compiled a 7-7-2 overall record and is 4-1 in conference play with a recent loss to Eastern Washington (2-0) and a victory over the University of Idaho (2-1). The Lumberjacks average 1.25 goals per match with a .531 shot on goal percentage.
Since 1998, Idaho State holds a 8-14-3 record against NAU with a 2-6-1 away record. Northern Arizona has a seven-match win streak over ISU with Idaho State's last victory in 2012 (2-1) in Pocatello.
In the 2018 season, the Lumberjacks finished with a 9-5-4 overall record and went 5-1-3 in conference play. The team finished fourth in league play, losing to Montana (1-0) in the Big Sky Championship Tournament.
