POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State soccer fell 3-1 to Northern Colorado on Oct. 4 in Greeley, Colo.
Northern Colorado scored early in the first half and then added two more goals in the second leading them to a 3-1 victory.
"Soccer can be a cruel game," Head Coach Deb Brereton said. "The result does not reflect the brilliant performance and fight each and every player put forth tonight."
Senior
Michaela Didericksen scored a goal for the Bengals in the last minutes of the game off an assist from junior
Lauren McGahie. The goal was Didericksen's second of the season.
"I thought we dominated possession and it could have easily been 3-1 the other way," Brereton said. "We defended stoically and with tenacity and grit. It was very unfortunate that we had two very unlucky moments that led to two own goals. I'm so proud of this team and their commitment to fighting for each other."
The Bengals totaled seven shots with five on goal against Northern Colorado's nine shots with seven on goal.
