Women's Basketball Hosts Arizona Christian in Season Opener

POCATELLO, Idaho-
 The Idaho State women's basketball team opens its 2019-20 season hosting Arizona Christian on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.

Admission is $5-$8 for general admission and $7-12 for lower level seats. The match will feature Live Stats and Audio brought to you by KISU 91.1 with the pregame show starting at approximately 6:40 p.m. (MST)

Scouting Arizona Christian
Arizona Christian finished the 2018-19 season with a 21-12 overall record including a 13-5 record in the Golden State conference and has appeared in the NAIA National Tournament the previous two seasons. The Firestorm lost their top three leading scorers from last year and is returning one of their main producers, Toni Davis, who averaged 9.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, shot 43% from the floor and 70% from the free throw line last season.

Tuesday's game is the first time the two teams will match-up.

Arizona Christian is led by first-year Head Coach Rusty Rogers.

Exhibition Recap
ISU defeated the South Dakota School of Mines 68-46 in an exhibition game on Nov. 1 in Reed Gym. Idaho State led by as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter en route to the 22 point victory. 

Montana Oltrogge led the Bengals with 17 points going 6-8 from the field, 3-4 from the three point arc, and six boards. Diaba Konate finished with 16 points going 7-13. Dora Goles went 3-6 from the three in her first game since 2017 and also recorded four rebounds and three steals.

Defensively, ISU forced 25 turnovers leading to 19 of its 68 points. Callie Bourne tallied four steals and seven rebounds and Konate added four steals to her stat line.
