POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State football team announced its December 2019 recruiting class. Of the 12 Bengals added, seven play on the offensive side and five on defense. Including the three who have returned from LDS church missions, seven of the 12 are from the state of Idaho.
Joining the football program from Idaho is, quarterback Keegan Thompson (Rigby HS), wide receiver Andrew Gunter (Century HS), De'Qua Lang (Century HS), Kamiah Olsen (Highland HS), Connor Stanford (Sugar Salem HS), David Rowe (Madison HS) and Byron Leckington (Shelley HS). Stanford, Rowe and Leckington have returned from LDS church missions and will enroll in school for the spring semester.
On offense the Bengals added two from the state of California and two from Washington. Coming to Pocatello from California are offensive linemen Tyler Clemons and Daniel Caloca. From Washington is Xavier Guillory (wide receiver) and Aron Oliva (OL).
On defense, the Bengals also added Jacob Jones from California.

Rigby HS: Maxpreps Idaho Player of the Year … 5A state champion … team captain … Idaho 5A High Country Offensive Player of the Year … 1,789 passing yards and 64 percent completion rate … 1,513 rushing yards … 10.65 yards per carry … 26 passing touchdowns and 16 rushing touchdowns.
Andrew Gunter, 6-4, 198, WR, Century HS, Pocatello, Idaho
Century HS: Max Preps All-Idaho Team in 2019 … holds the school career and single-season records … 1,572 receiving yards in a season and 2,539 for his career.
Personal: Birthdate is 11/20/01 … parents are Joe and Heather Gunter … plans to major in Health Science or Business.
Jacob Jones, 5-10, 185, DB, Fullerton College, La Habra, Calif.
Fullerton College: First-team all-conference at safety … 68 tackles, 42 solo tackles … .5 sack, 5.5 TFL, four pass break ups and two interceptions … led the team in tackles as a freshman and sophomore … 2017 state and national champion at Fullerton.
De'Qua Lang, 6-2, 260, DL, Century HS, Pocatello, Idaho
Century HS: First-team all-area … first-team all-conference … participates in track and field
Personal: Active in church youth group service projects … attending Idaho State because of the opportunity to be coached by "amazing coaching staff" … parents are Matt and Amy Mckinlay
Aron Oliva, 6-3, 365, OL, Bonney Lake HS, Bonney Lake, Wash.
Xavier Guillory, 6-2, 190, WR, Spokane, Wash., Air Force
High School: Had 45 catches for 725 yards and 11 touchdowns … made 50 tackles and had six interceptions … three star recruit on 247 sports … first-team all-league at wide receiver … enrolled at Air Force in 2019.
Tyler Clemons, 6-5, 282, OL, Diablo Valley College, Martinez, Calif.
Diablo Valley College: Two-time captain and all-conference at left tackle.
Daniel Caloca, 6-4, 285, OL, Brawley Union HS, Brawley, Calif.
Brawley Union HS: Two-Time first-team all-league and made CIF San Diego National Team.
Kamiah Olsen, 5-10, 225, LB, Pocatello, Idaho Highland HS
The following players signed with Idaho State in 2017 and went on an LDS Church mission. They have since returned and will enroll in school in January.
