POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team hosts Portland State on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. in Holt Arena. Jerry Miller and Brad Bugger will call the game live on 102.5 KMGI. To follow the game online with live stats, audio and video log onto isubengals.com.

Following Saturday's game, Idaho State plays at NAU on Feb. 7 and at SUU on Feb. 9.

Scouting Portland State
Portland State comes into Saturday's game with a 9-11 record and a 4-5 mark in Big Sky Conference play. Holland Woods leads the Vikings in scoring with an average of 14.5 points a game. Michael Nuga is scoring 11.3 points and Sal Nuhu 10.  Robert McCoy is the top rebounder at 6.4 a game. Portland State averages 78.2 points a game and gives up 75.1. Portland State shoots .419 percent from the field and .285 percent from the three-point line.

In conference play, Woods is scoring 14.4 points a game. Nuhu is scoring 9.2 and McCoy is averaging 8.7 points and 6.3 rebounds. Portland State scores 75.6 points a game in league and gives up 77.6 points. The Vikings shoot .434 percent in league and opponents shoot .475 percent.

Recapping Sacramento State
- Nine steals by the Bengals was a season-high.
- 20 field goals made was the fewest of the season.
- Lyle Sutton's four points tied his career-high. He had a career-high two steals.
- Brandon Boyd's nine free throw attempts was a season-high.
- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost to Sacramento State 74-58.
- Brandon Boyd led the Bengals with 17 points, while Chier Maker led the team in rebounds with nine. Jared Stutzman had 12 points, and two rebounds.  
- Idaho State shot 40.0 percent connecting on only six of 26 3-pointers.  
- The Bengals were 12-17 from the free throw line and were out rebounded 37-23.
- Other than an early 3-2 lead, Idaho State trailed the entire game. Sacramento State led 42-22 at the half.
- The Bengals trailed 54-36 with 12:40 left in the game. ISU then went on an 11-2 run to cut the Hornets lead to 56-48 with 8:24 left to play. The Hornets then pulled back ahead going on a 9-2 run to extend their lead to 67-50.

Wins vs. Losses
In Idaho State's seven wins they have only shot better than 50 percent once. The Bengals average a shooting percentage of .436 percent in wins and hold opponents to an average of .389 percent in wins. In the seven wins Brandon Boyd is the top scorer at 12.6 points a game. Balint Mocsan and Gary Chivichyan are scoring 10.6 points and Chier Maker is scoring 10.3 points in wins. In all seven Bengal wins, the opponent has not scored more than 70 points.
