POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team lost 8-0 to No. 6 Washington in five innings on the final day of the Washington Husky Invitational.
MaKenzie Van Sickle had the Bengals only hit. Washington had 10 hits and took advantage of two Idaho State errors.
Mailee Newman suffered the loss. She pitched .1 innings and allowed six runs and five hits.
Autumn Pease went 2.2 innings and allowed three hits, one run and struck out four.
Mariah Mulcahy went one innings and struck out one and allowed two hits.
The Huskies scored six runs in the first inning, one in the second and one in the fourth inning.
Idaho State is back in action March 15-17 at the UC Riverside Tournament. The Bengals play three games vs. Northern Kentucky on March 15-17 and then play UC Riverside on March 17.
