POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State soccer's Head Coach
Debs Brereton has announced the signing of Madeline Kendrick for the 2019 season. Kendrick, Brereton's second signing as head coach, will transfer to Idaho State from Western Wyoming Community College.
Kendrick hails from Hooper, Utah and graduated from Fremont High School in 2017. The goalkeeper helped WWCC secure a regional championship and Great Lakes District second-place finish.
"She has a tremendous work ethic and will be an asset to our team," Brereton said. "She is very brave, has good distribution and deals with crosses very well. We are very much looking forward to having Madeline be a part of our team this fall."
Kendrick played between the posts in four games last season and made 15 saves while posting one shutout half. She tallied 24 saves and finished 2-2 in her first year with WWCC.
In 2018, Western Wyoming faced Laramie County in the Region IX Championship game and won 1-0 to advance to the NJCAA DI Great Lakes District Title game.
Kendrick will continue her studies in health sciences at Idaho State University.
