POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State volleyball ended the Washington State Cougar Challenge with a 3-2 loss to UT Arlington on Sept. 14 in Pullman, Wash.
The Bengals fought hard taking the first two sets from the Mavericks, 25-23 and 25-19. The next three sets were in favor of UT Arlington, 25-18, 25-21, and 16-14.
"I like who we are becoming," Head Coach Sammi Stuart said. "We were gritty and showed a lot of fight this afternoon. We need to work on stopping our opponent's runs quicker."
Duquesne Moratzka recorded 15 kills, Brooke Pehrson had 14, and Haylie Keck had 13 to lead Idaho State's 54 total kills in the match.
Idaho State continues their 2019 in Boise, Idaho to face Boise State (Sept. 19) at 7 p.m. (MST) and UC-Irvine (Sept. 20) at 2 p.m. (MST).
The match against Boise will feature Live Stats and Live Video and UC-Irvine will have Live Stats.
