Volleyball Fights in Boise

POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State volleyball team fell 3-0 to Boise State on Sept. 19 in Boise, Idaho.
 
The first set was a close 25-21 finish followed by a 25-18 second set and a final 25-17 third set.
 
The Bengals played hard totaling 35 kills, the most they've recorded in a three-set match this season. They also recorded the most assists in a three-set match this season with 34.
 
"The learning curve is high on the road," Head Coach Sammi Stuart said. "But we continue to improve and gain a ton of experience. We just need to keep grinding."
 
Sophomore Duquesne Moratzka led the team with 11 kills followed by senior Haylie Keck with seven, sophomore Raegan Steiner with six, and senior Brooke Pehrson with five.
 
Sophomore Mahala Bradburn put up 11 digs for the Bengals followed close by senior Nikole Cook with nine.
 
The Bengals finish the tournament tomorrow at 2 p.m. (MST) against UC Irvine. The match will have Live Stats available.
