POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State volleyball team fell in a tough 3-1 battle against Northern Arizona on Sept. 28 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
The Bengals dropped the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-19. Idaho State came back in the third winning 26-24.
The Lumberjacks took the final fourth set, 25-22.
Idaho State recorded a season four set match-high of 80 kills.
"I thought we ended better than we started," Head Coach
Sammi Stuart said. "I liked the resilience we showed at the end of game three. Excited to get home to Reed this week!"
Senior
Brooke Pehrson led the Bengals with 13 kills, a .321 attacking percentage, and five blocks. Senior
Haylie Keck recorded 10 kills, 17 digs, and three blocks. Sophomore
Raegan Steiner had nine kills for a .389 attacking percentage.
Sophomore
Duquesne Moratzka had eight kills and 16 digs. Redshirt freshman
Andri Dewey totaled 11 digs, senior
Nikole Cook had 10 , and sophomore
Mahala Bradburn had 13.
The Bengals return to Reed Gym on Tuesday, Oct. 1 to host Weber State at 7 p.m. (MST) and again Friday, Oct. 4 vs. Northern Colorado at 7 p.m. (MST). Admission to the match is $7 for adults, $5 for kids, and free for ISU students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or call 208-282-FANS for tickets and information.
