POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 70-51 to Nicholls State on Friday evening at Santa Clara University.
Other than a brief lead in the early moments of the game, Nicholls State was in control of the game.
Idaho State shot 35 percent from the field (14-40) and was 5-19 from the three-point line and 18-27 from the foul line. The Bengals were outrebounded 31-30 and was forced into 28 turnovers, 18 coming in the first half.
Robert Ford III led the Idaho State scoring with 13 points on 4-7 shooting. He was 3-5 from the three-point line.
Brayden Parker had a team-best six rebounds while
Austin Smellie added nine points.
Idaho State trailed 35-15 but did outscore Nicholls State 36-35 in the second half.
Idaho State concludes its three-game invitational at Santa Clara on Saturday at 2 p.m. (MST) against UC Davis. Idaho State then plays at Utah on Dec. 8 at 4 p.m.
