"I am looking forward to having her join our team," Idaho State coach Gretchen Maloney said. "Sydney is a four-star recruit and has national experience that will help us. Her grit and tenacity on the court fits in perfectly with our culture."

Morris is a two-time first-team all-state honoree in 2018 and 2019. Her team was the Indiana state team champion in 2018 and she played No. 2 singles as a freshman. She was the MIC Team and Doubles champion in 2018 and 2019. In 2019, she played No 1 singles.

Morris said she chose Idaho State because she wants, "to be a part of the women's tennis team.  I feel Gretchen is an amazing coach and person. I am inspired by her leadership. I also felt the right chemistry with the team and I can't wait to be a part of the Bengal family."
