POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's basketball team defeated Montana 72-59 on Saturday afternoon in Reed Gym.

The Bengals shot over 45 percent from the field and from three while shooting 81 percent from the free-throw line. ISU defense held the Lady Griz to just 32 percent from field-goal range and 18 percent from three.

ISU was aggressive, scoring 14 points off a fast breaks. Each team scored 32 points in the paint.

Dora Goles scored a career-high 36 points after going 10-17 from the field, 11-12 from the free-throw line, and sinking five 3s. Her 36-points is just two shy from tying the all-time single game point record (38) and is the most a player has scored under Head Coach
Seton Sobolewski. She also had a team-high three steals, grabbed three boards, and tossed two assists.

Callie Bourne followed with 10 points in her 13
th consecutive double-digit game.
Montana Oltrogge grabbed a career-high 11 boards while adding seven points for the Bengals.

ISU had a 13-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. Each team was aggressive to the basket, scoring a combined 16 points in the paint.

The game stayed close until the Bengals went on a 9-3 run to take a 10 point lead at 27-17 with 1:24 minutes left in the first half. A three-point shot from Goles gave ISU the 10 point lead. The Lady Griz managed to lay one up before the buzzer to end the half down 27-20.

ISU shot 36 percent from the floor against UM's 21 percent in the half. Bourne finished the half with eight points and Goles followed with seven.

UM went on a 13-5 run in the middle of the third quarter to catch up to ISU and eventually taking a short-lived 41-39 lead with 2:28 minutes left. The quarter would end tied at 45. Goles scored 14 of ISU's 18 points in the quarter.

The Bengals jumped out in a six point lead, 51-45, in the first two minutes of the final quarter. The Lady Griz cut the lead to three at 51-48 but would get no closer the rest of the game. Idaho State went on a 21-11 run to end the game led by Goles with 13 points.
