Women's Basketball Announces All-Decade Team

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's basketball program is announcing its all-decade team.

The all-decade team strives to honor those who have made a significant impact to the Idaho State women's basketball program.

There are nine selections to the all-decade team. Three selections will be announced each week for three weeks, ending on Thursday, Sept. 24.

To be eligible for the all-decade team, a student-athlete must have played at least one year between the 2010-11 and 2019-20 academic years.

Our first honoree is Chelsea Pickering.

Pickering, a Lumberton, Texas native, played for the Idaho State women's basketball team from 2007-2012. In her time as a Bengal, Pickering made a name for herself earning first team All-Big Sky during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. During the 2011-12 season, Pickering helped lead her team to a Big Sky Championship while being named the Big Sky Conference Tournament MVP. She would go on to lead the program to its third NCAA appearance that same season. The 5'8 guard sits No. 10 on ISU All-time scoring list and is a member of the 1,000 point club with 1,200 points.

"The success we had in 2010-2012 would not have been possible without Chelsea Pickering," said Head Coach Seton Sobolewski. "She will go down as one of the all time Bengal greats!"
