POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State football team plays host to No. 23 Weber State on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Holt Arena. The game will be broadcasted on KISU with
Jerry Miller and Mitch Beckstead calling the action. The pregame show starts at 12:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN + with Dylan Carder and Kody Graves calling the action.
Idaho State is looking for its first win vs. Weber State since a 46-28 win on Nov. 22, 2014. This is the fourth ranked opponent the Bengals will face this year.

Scouting Weber State
Weber State is 3-4 and 2-2 in Big Sky Conference play. Weber State averages 25.14 points a game and gives up 21.57 points. WSU averages 149.9 rushing yards and 223 through the air. The Weber State defense gives up 307 yards to opponents. Dontae McMillan is the top rusher with an average of 50.43 yards a game on three touchdowns. Rashid Shaheed is the top receiver. He has caught 23 passes for 371 yards. Preston Smith leads the defense with 40 tackles.
Bengals Against Ranked Teams
Weber State is the fourth ranked team the Bengals have faced this season. The 27-17 win over No. 7 UC Davis was the first win over a Top 10 team since beating No. 5 Eastern Washington 34-30 in 2005. Idaho State was 0-18 vs. Top 10 teams prior to the victory. Prior to the win over Eastern Washington, Idaho State beat No. 24 Idaho 24-22 on April 3, 2021
Last spring the Bengals played five of their six games against ranked teams. The spring 2021 season and the 2008 team are the only teams who have played five ranked teams in one season. Idaho State opened last year vs. No. 4 Weber State. On March 13, ISU played No. 13 Eastern Washington and on March 27 the Bengals played at No. 15/19 UC Davis. Weber State was ranked No. 2 in the final polls in the spring 2021 before the playoffs began.
Idaho State has only three wins vs. ranked opponents on the road.
