POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 78-60 to Nebraska on Friday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Idaho State shot 39 percent from the field and was led in scoring by 13 points from
Robert Ford III.
Austin Smellie had 12 points and
Tarik Cool finished with 10.
Idaho State was 12-37 from the three-point line and turned the ball over 15 times. Nebraska shot 54 percent from the field and had 18 assists to only eight turnovers.
Idaho State had an early 12-9 lead after a Ford 3-pointer. Nebraska then outscored ISU 15-2 over the next three minutes to lead 24-14 with 11 minutes left in the first half.
Nebraska led the rest of the game. Idaho State got within three late in the first half but trailed 41-31 at halftime. The Bengals trailed by as many as 23 late in the second half.
Idaho State is back in action on Monday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym vs. UMKC.
