Volleyball to Play Home and Away Series This Week

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State volleyball is set for a split series this week with Weber State and Northern Colorado.

The Bengals are home first to take on the Weber State Wildcats Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 6:00 PM in Reed Gym.

Then the Orange and Black hit the road to face off with UNC in Greeley.

Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+ and will feature live stats. The home match Wednesday will also be broadcast on KISU with Mark Liptak on the call.

Quick Scout and History – Weber State

This is the second time this season that the Bengals and wildcats will meet.

In the first match between the two teams, the Wildcats won 3-0 in Ogden. Weber held the Bengals to a .043 hitting percentage while they hit .263 during the match.

A notable difference in the match was at the serving line, the Bengals had two aces while the Wildcats came away with eight in the match.

Weber is still currently No. one in the conference in service aces per match, averaging 2.20 aces per set.

Weber's defense also ranks near the top of the conference, coming in second in digs per set with an average of 15.93.

Currently, the Wildcats are averaging a .216 hitting percentage while holding opponents to a .186 percent average.

Previously undefeated in conference play, the Wildcats are on a two-game losing streak after last weekend's matches with Sacramento State and Portland State.

Idaho State leads the overall series 50-44. In Pocatello, the Bengals are 27-17 all-time against the wildcats.

In their previous 10 meetings, the Bengals are 4-6 against the Wildcats.

Quick Scout and History – Northern Colorado

This is also the second time this season that the Bengals and Bears have met.

In their first meeting, the Bears defeated the Bengals 3-0 although both teams had strong offensive showings. The Bengals hit .242 percent in the match, but the Bears were able to hit .307 and come away with the win.

The Bears are averaging a .222 hitting percentage while holding opponents to .183 percent.

Like Weber State, the Bears previous two conference losses came to Portland State and Sacramento State, but UNC is currently on a two-game win streak after playing at Montana and Montana State.

The Bengals lead the overall series with the Bears 41-38. In Greeley, the Bears lead the series 24-17
