POCATELLO, Idaho- Football season is finally here. The Idaho State football team opens the spring 2021 season on Saturday vs. Weber State in Holt Arena. Kickoff is at 4:05 p.m. The game will be televised on Pluto TV Channel 1061.
Jerry Miller will broadcast the game live on stretch internet through isubengals.com and live stats will also be available through the departments website.
This is the first of two meetings between the Bengals and Wildcats this spring. Idaho State is looking for its first win over Weber State since winning, 46-28 on Nov. 22, 2014. Idaho State has only beaten Weber State twice in the last 20 meetings.

About Weber State
Weber State comes into the season ranked No. 4 in the STATS FCS Preseason poll. Weber State returns preseason All-American candidates in running back Josh Davis and offensive lineman Ty Whitworth. The Wildcats finished the 2019 season with an 11-4 record and a 7-1 mark in Big Sky Conference play. Weber State lost 30-14 to
James Madison in the semi-finals of the FCS playoffs last year.
What to Know About 2021 Spring Season
This year the Bengals play a six-game season with a bye week on March 20 and April 17. This will allow for opportunities to make up games if the need arises.

Running Back
Malakai Rango- As a true freshman in 2019 he carried the bal 96 times for 508 yards and three touchdowns. He returned nine punts for an average of 9.6 yards a return and he returned 11 kickoffs for an average of 27.8 yards a return.
Raiden Hunter- In four games he carried the ball 17 times for 72 yards.
Soujah Gasu- In six games he carried the ball 35 times for 67 yards.
QB
Sagan Gronauer- Appeared in 3 games was 19-32 with a touchdown and two interceptions and 174 passing yards.
WR
Tanner Conner- Caught 47 passes for 792 yards and eight touchdowns.
Malakai Rango- Caught 11 passes for 67 yards
Nate Shubert- Caught five passes for 30 yards
Raiden Hunter- Caught one pass for three yards.
