POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State softball wrapped up its series against Weber State Sunday afternoon with a 7-1 loss.
"We've got work to do," said Head Coach Cristal Brown. "It's still early in conference but we need to pull it together quickly. Looking forward to doing that at home next weekend."
The Wildcats held the Bengals scoreless until top of the 7th when the Bengals loaded the bases and the Weber State pitcher walked in the Bengal run.
The Bengals had six hits on 27 at bats. Kaylee Butterworth led the team with two hits.
In four innings pitched, Mareena Ramirez had three strikeouts and allowed nine hits.
Next week, the Bengals are home for the first time since the 2019 season against Southern Utah. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 12:00 p.m.
