Game 3: Idaho State vs. Sacramento State

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State football team opens Big Sky Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. vs. Sacramento State in Holt Arena. Dylan Carder and Kody Graves will broadcast the game on ESPN + while Jerry Miller and Mitch Beckstead will call the game on KISU. 
 
In the last 10 years, Idaho State is 5-5 in Big Sky Conference openers. Three of the 10 matchups have come against Sacramento State, with the Bengals winning 42-34 in Pocatello in 2016, 44-24 in Pocatello in 2014 and losting 54-31 in Pocatell in 2012.

Scouting Sacramento State 
Sacramento State is 1-2, with a season-opening win at Dixie State (19-7). The Hornets then lost to No. 15 Northern Iowa, 34-16 and Cal 42-30. The Hornets score 21.7 points a game and average 440.7 yards of total offense. Sacramento State did not participate in the spring 2021 football season. In 2019, the Hornets finished the season 9-4 and 7-1 in Big Sky Conference play and earned a berth in the FCS Playoffs.
