Bengal Track and Field Returns Home to Host 2022 Stacy Dragila Open

POCATELLO, Idaho –
The Idaho State track and field team is back home at Holt Arena this weekend as they host the 2022 Stacy Dragila Open Saturday, Jan. 29.

The Meet is loaded with competitors and will feature student-athletes from; BYU, Carroll College, The College of Idaho, Idaho State, Montana Tech, Montana Western, Northwest Nazarene, Providence, The College of Southern Idaho, Utah State, Utah Valley Weber State and Westminster.

The Meet is named after Idaho State legend Pole Vaulter Stacy Dragila, who pioneered the sport of pole vault for women across the globe and then cemented her history winning gold at the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney Australia.

This week, the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their first round of rankings for the 2022 indoor season.

The Bengal women are polling top-10 in the Mountain region with a No. 8 ranking this week just behind Wyoming and Colorado.

The Bengal men are ranked No. 13 Mountain Region Rankings.
