POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State volleyball fell to the Montana Griz 3-1 Thursday evening in Reed Gym.
Idaho State falls to 12-14 (5-10 BSC) and now must win on Saturday against the MSU Bobcats to lock in their spot in the 2022 Big Sky Volleyball Tournament.
Montana started the match taking a lead and holding onto it in the first set.
The Bengals lost a heartbreaker of a second. Late in the set, Idaho State held an 18-10 lead over the Griz. Montana kept fighting and worked their way back over the end of the set, eventually taking the lead and winning the set 25-22.
Idaho State didn't stop fighting and Roared back in the 3rd set, with 13 kills, taking the 3rd in front of the cheering ISU faithful.
Montana took an early lead in the fourth and held onto it through the end. At the end of four the Griz were victorious.

The Bengals are home for the final time this season on Saturday for Senior Night against the Montana State Bobcats. First serve is set for 7:00 PM in Reed Gym.
